The Bethesda Foundation offers numerous ways for you to help fulfill our mission. Your support is greatly appreciated and will benefit our seniors and their families for years to come.
Gifts of cash
The simplest way you can support those served by Bethesda is to give a gift of cash. This gives you an income tax deduction for the full amount of the gift (assuming no goods or services are received for the gift) in the year that you make the donation. Gifts can be made securely online or over the phone by calling the Foundation Office at 320-214-5600. Checks can be made payable to the Bethesda Foundation and sent to: Bethesda Foundation | 901 Willmar Avenue SE | Willmar, MN 56201. Your gift will be used in areas of greatest need or you may designate a favorite program or service.
Gifts of stocks and other securities
Appreciated stocks, bonds, U.S. Treasury notes and bonds and mutual funds make excellent gifts to the Bethesda Foundation, at the same time resulting in additional tax savings for you. If you contribute securities that have appreciated in value and that you have held for more than a year, you will avoid the capital gains tax that is incurred when you sell. You’ll also get a charitable tax deduction for the full market value of the assets, regardless of what you paid for them. Download a PDF about gifts of stock and other securities.
