Dear Friends and Supporters,
Bethesda is truly blessed and humbled by the support given throughout the past year by our community of member churches, individuals, families, businesses and foundations.
This is an exciting time in the history of Bethesda, as we proudly commemorate 120 years of providing outstanding service. Reflecting on our history, we are grateful for all who have contributed toward our ongoing work of caring for our aging population. Because of your generous support, whether in time, talent or financial gifts, Bethesda continues to make a positive difference in the lives of seniors.
Since 1897, our team members, volunteers, donors, board members and community members have helped countless seniors continue living purposeful lives with respect and dignity – in our senior care community, senior housing communities and in their own homes.
Examining where we are today, we have much to celebrate. This past year, we successfully completed a $21 million building project that united our care campuses into one family. With much anticipation, we look forward to beginning our next project, which will provide a Town Center for our senior community to enjoy.
As we begin this next chapter in our history, we reaffirm our commitment to serving seniors. Bethesda will continue to develop and provide innovative aging services that meet the diverse needs and interests of a growing older population.
We are pleased to share with you the Bethesda statement of social accountability for fiscal year 2016, highlighting activities that enrich the lives of our seniors, team members and our community as a whole.
With gratitude,
Carla Lagerstedt, Board Chair
Michelle Haefner, President/CEO
