It was the week before Christmas 2020, a quiet afternoon when Carrie’s Chapel came to life as Pastor Bill Miller belted out O’Holy Night on the grand piano. His strong tenor voice could be heard by all, and in that blissful moment, a sense of peace and joy could be seen in the faces of the people passing by. You see, Pastor Bill has been humbly sharing his gift of music and ministry to the residents, their families, and the staff at Bethesda since he joined the Bethesda team in January of 2018.
At the time, no one knew that this would be the last Christmas he would be sharing his musical talents. By January 2021 his health began to take a turn and by August he gracefully was called home. During the past year, he shared his playful humor, all the while spending countless hours carefully compiling hymns into a book to be shared for years to come.
By the fall of 2021, a new chapel opened at Bethesda North Pointe in New London, Pastor Miller’s hometown. In his memory, a “Christmas Wish” campaign has been formed to raise funds for a $35,000 baby grand piano in honor of Pastor Bill Miller’s ministry of celebrating Christ’s love for one another throughout the New London-Spicer and Willmar communities. The piano will be a tribute to a compassionate, joyful, and faithful servant of the Lord.
Your donation is needed to help us reach our goal of $35,000 to purchase the baby grand piano in memory of Pastor Bill Miller for the new chapel at Bethesda North Pointe. There is still time to make your special year-end gift in honor of Pastor Bill, please visit www.bethesdawillmar.org/donate or contact Bethesda Foundation at 320-214-5600 for further information.
Our Christmas Wish campaign is operated with the consent of the Miller family.
