We have great news! Bethesda Grand and Club Suites has recently been awarded a grant from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Minnesota Department of Human Services to make possible the purchase of nine (9) high-efficiency air purifiers and seven (7) replacement filters. This new technology will enable our residents and their loved ones to continue to safely enjoy in-person visits as we continue to navigate COVID-19.
For all of us, especially those who are older adults, being able to stay social is vital to maintaining a high quality of life. As I write this blog, a family member just stopped by with an adorable 10-month-old fluffy white puppy that had a pink lipstick mark on her soft fur. “Mom gave her a kiss,” said the beaming family member. I can only imagine the joy this puppy brought to our resident and their family as they create memories to last for years to come. This is why providing a safe environment is critical to our mission of serving others together in faith, community, and life, and that grants like this continue to help our organization to elevate all that technology has to offer is not only creating safer environments but in creating opportunities for our residents to live their best lives.
We look forward to each brighter day ahead and celebrate the ways philanthropy helps amplify the work we do.
