Club Bethesda is excited to launch a new aquatic wellness series to the Willmar area! This new series is designed to optimize recovery after an orthopedic surgery by beginning with aquatic wellness to:
- Improve cardiovascular fitness
- Build muscle
- Increase flexibility
Prior to an elective surgery. Dennis Eickhoff, Physical Therapist at Bethesda Therapy is excited about the new class beginning March 21st. “This aquatic wellness program will change recovery and therapy following an elective orthopedic surgery,” he said. “The warm water pool available at Club Bethesda provides the ideal setting for patients experiencing pain and discomfort with moving. The warm temperature soothes aching joints and the water provides an almost gravity-free, fluid environment for patients to regain movement and improve strength prior to surgery.”
This new 6-week Tuesday evening class is open to the community and offers a targeted sequence of instructor led aquatic wellness each week. Each session will include a bite-sized educational component to help participants fully prepare for the post-surgery process.
