“During November, the home care and hospice community honor the millions of nurses, home care aides, therapists, and social workers who make a remarkable difference for the patients and families they serve. These heroic caregivers play a central role in our health care system and in homes across the nation.” (NAHC.org)
On Thursday, November 2 one home care patient emulated the true spirit of the month-long recognition period by sharing his experience with Willmar’s local West Central Tribune newspaper. His Letter to the Editor read:
“ In November we celebrate those who do health care.
For me that has been a celebration every day a provider knocks on my door. Bethesda Home Health does an awesome job in all circumstances, but remember it is really special to all of us if we show appreciation all of the time. I make it a point to encourage.
Thanks to all who share your lives with me: Kristen, Sara, Maddi, Shannon and David.
If we’d find more things to celebrate, we wouldn’t fix our minds on all the negative things in this world. It will take all of us to do this.”
